FAQ
Q1. Why should I choose narration.ca for my project?
With narration.ca, you’ll be working with an experienced voice actor who can help deliver your messages effectively in English or French, or both. In addition to having its own mini recording studio, narration.ca also takes care of the paperwork between ACTRA, UDA and the voicework artists, so you won’t have to!
Q2. What experience do you have with narration and voiceovers?
We’ve been recording narration and voiceovers for top-tier Canadian clients for over four decades! Our larger, repeat customers include Bell Canada, Elections Canada, Passport Canada, the Montreal Planetarium and VIA Rail.
Q3. Can you provide sample recordings?
Of course! Click on sample recordings to listen to selections of our previous work.
Q4. How long does it take to deliver recordings?
The typical turnaround time is five (5) business days after having received final scripts and the signed acceptance of our fee estimate.
Q5. Can you work with a tight project deadline?
Yes! We can accommodate rush jobs for an additional fee, based on staff availability.
Q6. What do you need to prepare an estimate?
Along with general information about your project, we require final or sample scripts. Fee estimates are based on the number of words to record and the complexity of the project.
Q7. Are there additional costs for retakes or revisions?
There are no additional charges for retakes unless the errors were included in the script(s) submitted by the client.
Similarly, there are no extra charges for script revisions made by a client. However, if the recording session has already occurred or if the revisions add to the length of the recordings, we will provide you with a new estimate.
Q8. What is your billing process?
Shortly after the final recordings are delivered, you will receive an invoice. Payment is required by cheque or e-transfer within 30 days, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the approved estimate.
Q9. What type of audio files can you provide?
Our uncompressed high-quality audio recordings can be converted to the most common digital audio formats (WAV, MP3, AIFF, FLAC, AAC, OGG, and M4A) according to your needs.
